Howl Long Beach Wedding

This couple are good friends of mine, and I was so excited that they asked me to shoot their wedding at Howl in Long Beach, CA. The Texas transplants invited most of their guests to The Golden State to share their vows and have a great time. And a great time they had.

It's been documented here before that I cry at almost every wedding, but sometimes you meet couples who have friends who are like family, and it seems like the bonds are even stronger. I wasn't just feeling the love from the couple, but as you will see, their family and friends love them dearly as well, myself included.

Get some tissues and your pinterest button ready, cause this wedding is MAGICAL!

Seriously, how gorgeous is this two piece from BHLDN??

Couldn't have asked for a more stylish group of guys.

The First Look

The couple decided to exchange pre-ceremony letters and do a first look. It made the exchange a bit more impactful, I've never seen a couple read their letters just a couple feet away before. I'm glad I got to witness their genuine reactions and excitement of seeing each other before they say "I do".

The Bride also wanted to include a first look with her father, it was such a sweet moment.

Afterwards, we took a stroll around downtown Long Beach near the Howl Event Space, and of course we got interrupted every 5 seconds because they are so dang good-looking.

I feel like Tina Belcher would spend a good amount of time grabbing her new husband's butt on her wedding day, too. Anyway, let us not forget the beautiful bridesmaids. I loved that they all wore a dress suited for them in similar colors instead of the standard bridesmaid uniform.

The Venue

Howl Event Space is such a great location for a wedding, it hardly needs any decoration. The couple featured an Angel Table to honor their loved ones who couldn't be there. The bride gathered the decor herself, a notable piece being an album she kept with keepsakes and letters dating back to her first date with her future husband. It showed how much these two people love each other and have absolutely no reservations about showing it.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was officiated by two of their close friends who got ordained for the occasion. There were jokes, there were tears, and there beautiful references to "MMMBop" - which I'm still wondering how they did that. The couple wrote their own vows and I don't think there were any dry eyes in the place.

Can't beat that California sunshine.

First Dances

The Bride and Groom danced like no one was watching, it was a lovely sight to see....But no time was wasted after the parent dances, party mode was immediately switched on.
