Round Top Elopement
On a lovely fall day, I got to spend the day with these two for a casual wedding in Round Top, Texas. We spent the afternoon cruising through the cutest vintage shops and sight seeing through the hill country.
We made a pit stop at the smallest church in Texas, the St. Martin Catholic Church. The couple signed the guest book, said a few prayers, and we lingered in awe of the quaintness of it all. Off we went to Brenham, TX for lunch and a few more shenanigans before it was time to suit up to get married! Seriously, these two didn't have a care in the world and it was inspiring.
So let me tell you a little bit about the ceremony location: The White House on the Hill was pretty much perfect for a Round Top wedding - elopement rather. It's an olive grove with a converted chapel/cabin. The couple who own the home put a lot of thought into the details and design - it was pure magic. The Bride and Groom invited their parents as their only guests and also enlisted their mothers as their vendors. The Groom's mother prepared a lovely lobster dinner and the Bride's mother is a talented hair stylist and florist.
Like, how can someone look this beautiful? Also: carrying bouquets are annoying, wear them in your hair instead. Boom.
Getting a little nervous, the groom wanted to find the perfect spot for a first look before we went into the ceremony.
Yeah, we all cried happy tears. Then remembered, "Oh, yeah! We should probably do that marriage thing now."
Husband and Wife, running off into the sunset.
